Por fin podemos disfrutar de nuevo con la música de Nortt, esta banda no ha hecho mas que recopilar éxitos desde el día en que salio, allá por 1995 en la ciudad de Odense, Dinamarca . Su música es nada mas ni nada menos que la perfecta union, el casamiento del Depressive Black Metal y el Funeral Doom, una magistral mezcla que a cada álbum va cobrando mas sentido después del álbum "Ligfærd" o del esplendido split con Xasthur, esto se demuestra en esta recién salida pieza "Galgenfrist" un álbum que transcurre con ese ambiente ya característico de la banda, un ambiente pausado y frío, muy frío. Que junto con los susurros y lamentos de la vocalización y las pocas notas de un piano perdido entre la niebla, nos vemos sumergidos en un viaje de ida sin vuelta a los inframundos, a las tierras donde reposan las peores sueños del ser humano, no dejéis escapar esta pieza los amantes del arte más oscuro.

Finally we can enjoy the music of Nortt again, this band has not done nothing else that to compile successes from the day in which was created, there for 1995 in the city of Odense, Denmark. Its music is nothing less than the perfect union, the marriage of the Depressive Black Metal and the Funeral Doom, a skillful mixture that to each album is receiving but felt after the album "Ligfærd" or the esplendid split with Xasthur, this is demostrated in this just recently exit piece "Galgenfrist" an album that passes with that atmosphere already characteristic of the band, a slow and cold atmosphere, very cold. That along with the whispers and moans of the vocalization and the few notes of a lost piano between the fog, we are ourselves submergeds in an outward journey without return in the infraworlds, in the earth where the worse dreams of the human being rest, you do not let escape this piece the lovers of the darkest art.

...y es que, el nombre de esta banda lo dice todo, los Lotófagos (los que comen loto), eran un pueblo mítico que los antiguos identificaban con los habitantes de una isla al nordeste de África, el poema épico "la odisea" de Homero hace referencia a ellos en uno de sus pasajes y explica que estos seres se alimentaban, única y exclusivamente de esa flor con el único fin de olvidar...y ciertamente al escuchar estos 3 chicos uno se siente como se debían sentir esos perdidos habitantes de Ítaca al masticar los pétalos de la mágica flor, cerca de 1 hora de sonidos experimentales y ambientales de corte minimalista, que nos hacen flotar entre un ambiente opresor, cavernoso y angustiante, y entre pasajes de ambiente tranquilizador, tanto de un lado como del otro si conseguimos asimilar bien esta obra nos veremos buceando en el nada, en el universo infinito del olvido.

Bueno, no soy muy dado a los nuevos géneros que vienen "representando" el metal de un tiempo atrás hasta ahora, pero creo que se reconocer cuando algo vale la pena y a mi parecer merece ser escuchado, Year Of No Light, sin duda lo merecen. Estos chicos proceden de la Aquitania concretamente de Bordeaux, Francia, y sí, realmente practican un metal moderno, una combinación de sonidos Sludge atmosférico con momentos de chirriante Drone Doom, y alguna estructura de post-rock o post-metal, que ami me gusta definir como bipolaridad musical, debido a sus múltiples bajadas y subidas de tono que dibujan mediante su escucha tales imágenes como aguas tranquilas y volcanes en erupción.

Well, I am not very interested to the new sorts that come "representing" the metal scene of a time back until now, but I believe that I'can recognize when something is good and to my seem it deserves to be listened, Year Of No Light, without a doubt they deserve it. These boys come from the Aquitania concretely from Bordeaux, France, and yes, really they practice a modern metal, a combination of atmospheric Sludge sounds with moments of screechy Drone Doom, and some structure of post-rock or post-metal, that I like to define as musical bipolarity, due to his manifold lowered and ascents of tone that draw by means of their listening such images as calm waters and volcanos in eruption.

Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin , (Zelzowa Wola, Polonia, 1 de marzo de 1810 — París, 17 de octubre de 1849) es considerado el más grande compositor polaco, y también uno de los más importantes pianistas de la historia. Su perfección técnica, su refinamiento estilístico y su elaboración armónica han sido comparadas históricamente con las de Johann Sebastian Bach y Mozart por su perdurable influencia en la música de tiempos posteriores.
Una de sus composiciones más elaboradas y sentidas es la de Nocturnes; el nocturno es una forma musical, una pieza pianística de carácter intimista y sentimental, inspirada por la noche. El género es inventado por el irlandes John Field y lo cultivó, sobre todo, el autor que nos ocupa, Fryderyk Chopin, ganandose así el titulo de uno de los mejores interpretes de la música clásica romántica.

Saturnus es una agrupación de Doom Metal formada en los años 90’s por Thomas A.G. Jensen voz, Kim Larsen en las guitarras, Brian Hansen en el bajo, Jesper Saltoft en la batería y por ultimo, Anders Ro Nielse en los teclados.

El país que vio nacer a estos genios del Doom es nada más y nada menos que Dinamarca en la ciudad de Copenhagen. Con tendencias ambientales y voces guturales. Para el año de 1994, lanzan su primera demo sin nombre ni éxito alguno, seria hasta 1996 donde se darían a conocer con su primera producción nombrada Paradise Belongs To You.

Este álbum esta cargado de pasajes Ambientales y relajantes murmullos de bosques en el ocaso del invierno.

Ahab es una agrupacion de Funeral Doom Metal, de Munich, Alemania. Aunque ellos mismos se describen como: Nautik Funeral Doom y no es de extrañar ese titulo ya que desde luego cuando el autor Herman Melville decidio publicar su magnifica novela y obra maestra "Moby-Dick" alla por el lejano año de 1851, no tenia manera de saber que esta se volveria una oscura y fuerte influenciaria para futuras generaciones de artistas, y de entre estos en el año 2004 nacieron Ahab. Para los que no conozcais, o no recordeis bien esa novela. El libro trata de la obsesiva y autodestructiva persecución de una gran ballena blanca realizada por el capitán Ahab (se intuye de donde les viene el nombre) y la tripulacion de su barco "Pequod". Esa tambien es la tematica lirica de la banda, y en lo que musicalmente se refiere, Ahab realiza un Funeral Doom de tonos profundamente oscuros, opresores y cavernosos perfectamente estructurados y entremezclados con un ambiente algo mas nitido y suabizante "un halo de esperanza" despues de sufrir los terrores de la impetuosa mar.

Ahab is a band of Funeral Doom Metal, of Munich, Germany. Although they describe themselves like: Nautik Funeral Doom and is not a surprise that title of course since when author Herman Melville decided to publish his magnificient novel and masterpiece "Moby-Dick" by the distant year of 1851, with no way to know that this will become a dark and strong influence for future generations of artists, and between these in the year 2004 was born Ahab. For thats who don't know, or who don't remember well that novel. The book deals with the obsessive and autodestructive persecution of a great white whale made by Ahab captain (it is intuited from where the name comes to them) and the crew of its boat "Pequod". That also is the lyrical theme of the band, and in which musically it talks about, Ahab makes a Funeral Doom of deeply dark, opresor and cavernous tones perfectly structured and intermingled with an atmosphere of pure clarity "an aureola of hope" after knowing the terrors of the impetuous sea.

The Morningside es una banda relativamente nueva, procedente de Rusia, Moscow, y aunque precisamente son nuevos y sin ningún álbum mas que este "The Wind, the Trees and the Shadows of the Past " en su carrera discografica; Son sin duda auténticos maestros a la hora de reflejar todos aquellos sentimientos que ofrece esta pieza, nos hablan de naturaleza, el viento, los árboles, la niebla en una mañana fría...todas estas sensaciones fluyen reflejadas desde un prisma de pura melancolía y "belleza gris", pasajes acústicos y voces entre limpias y el clásico "groul" death.
